EXHIBITION BACKGROUND

As China continues to advance its strategy of becoming a leading space power, emerging industries including satellite internet, commercial space, and the low-altitude economy are experiencing rapid growth, ushering in a new era of trillion-yuan opportunities in the aerospace economy. Based on the comprehensive aerospace manufacturing ecosystem, world-class scientific and technological innovation capabilities, and the unique advantages of its status as China's financial center, shanghai has established an aerospace industry development framework featuring "core enterprises supported by eastern and western development corridors." With the accelerated implementation of major projects, including the G60 Satellite Constellation and mass-production bases for satellites and launch vehicles, Shanghai is rapidly emerging as a leading innovation hub driving the development of China's aerospace industry. The inaugural edition of the exhibition concluded with outstanding success in 2026. With a total exhibition area of 15,000 square metres, the event brought together 316 leading enterprises from across the aerospace value chain and attracted 22,179 professional visitors. A series of high-level events such as the Academicians Forum, supply-demand matchmaking sessions, and industry awards received widespread recognition from the sector, establishing the exhibition as the premier annual platform for commercial space exchange and collaboration in the Yangtze River Delta. Relying on the success of its inaugural edition, the 2nd Shanghai Commercial Space Conference & Exhibition 2027 will take place from 17–19 March 2027 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Guided by the relevant government authorities and jointly organized by Golden Group, the event aims to foster the integrated development of the aviation, aerospace, and low-altitude economy sectors while creating a premier national platform for industry collaboration, innovation, and resource sharing. Under the theme "Seizing Opportunities in Commercial Space, Shaping the Future of the Space Economy," the event will attract government authorities, leading aerospace and defence groups, research institutes, commercial space enterprises, international space organizations, and renowned experts to showcase cutting-edge space technologies, explore future industry trends, and foster international cooperation. The 2027 edition marks a major upgrade, evolving from a dedicated commercial space exhibition into a comprehensive platform covering the entire aerospace and low-altitude economy value chain. With an expanded exhibition area, enhanced conference programme, and stronger industry collaboration, the event will provide an integrated platform for technology showcase, business matchmaking, industry exchange, and investment cooperation.
